E-tivity 7: You tube experience

Well, I've been using Youtube for two years so far. It's really useful because you can find lots of tutorials on it. For example I like videoediting and if I don't know how to do something with a software I go to YT and look for "tutorials". Moreover, you can express yourself without caring about business problems. Basically if you want to broadcast yourself while singing you can do it. Unfortunately, as always, some people broadcast things that shouldn't be seen; but who can judge? With YT news, arts, shows can go freely! The problem is how freely they can go. Nobody can tell. Freedom is something difficult to deal with.

Hi Nicola!
I perfectly agree with you when you say that lots of freedom is dangerous. Searching on YouTube you can really find videos about any subjects and that is why you must always be critical. However, I think that YouTube offers a lot of materials which can be surely exploited to improve your language learning. It's a very useful tool together with podcasts!
See you soon,
Elisa

Hi Niko....as Elisa pointed out too much freedom on the net could be dangerous...u-tube shouldn't be so free...I mean...some videos can't be posted on it...it's a shame that people can put such a stupid stuff. You tube must be supervised. Do u agree?

I really agree with you all, especially with Davide! Does YouTube has a moderator or something like that? I don't think so... But I also think that our freedom is one of the most special and precious things we have in life, and it's up to us to choose how to use it!

I agree with Davide, YouTube should be supervised, but how? I don't think it would be easy to control the videos in circulation...there's too much freedom. When there's too much freedom people thinks to be allowed to do everithing.

People need to put a little more thought into the stuff they are putting on the web. Later, it'll come back and bite them in the butt if they don't!
